Raven image from WikipediaFirst off, if you have a 2018/2019 Dreamspell Calendar, please notice the Raven depicting “Darkness into Light” by Mugwort. You could find it on www.13moon.com

The eye of the Raven was quite disturbing to me!!! He has no Pupil, (*See article on Pupil below.) and looks dead to me! I got a permanent magic marker and put a beautiful simple black pupil in his eye! Now he is Divine Magic and singing happily.
I am distributing a number of this years Dreamspell Calendars because I know this year is so important. It is essential that humanity leave the Gregorian Calendar of the Dark Matrix and hop on to the “Glorious Sacred Time Of Tzolkin!” In each Calendar I have given away, I have restored the Sacred Ravens Eyesight by drawing in a pupil.

In the book, Medicine Cards by Jamie Sams and David Carson, the Raven is Magic. He is Totem 16 in the book, and found on pages 101-103.

“If Raven appears on your spread, you are about to experience a change in consciousness. This may involve walking inside the Great Mystery on another path at the edge of time. It would portend a signal brought by the Raven that says, “You have earned the right to see and experience a little more of life’s magic.” Ravens color is the void – the black hole in space that holds all the energy of the creative source.”

Remember we have learned in Sophian Gnosticism that the so called VOID is called AIN SOPH and is the emptiness that is The Divine Fullness. It is Feminine in nature and holds the Magnetic Seed of her own ability to create in Divine Authority.

We are talking about Divine Magic which the Sophian Gnostics call Theurgy. Theurgy has no opposite. It is Divine from the Messiah, and cannot be misused or reversed. This is our month of Divine Magic inserted into the Sacred Kabbalah forever, beyond space and time into Ain Soph, or the Crown Jewel.

*Divine Theurgy, Divine Magic*

This subject must be approached through union with the Messiah. This Divine Theurgy, Divine Magic, is an important step into manifesting the Divine in Sophian Gnostic Christianity. Because there is such a disbelief among humanity in the possibility of miracles still today, people are inclined to accuse others of black magic.

In the time of Jesus according to
Matthew 12. 21- 28

21 And in His name shall the gentiles trust.
22 Then was brought unto Him one possessed with the devil, blind and dumb: and He healed him insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.
23 And all the people were amazed and said is not this the son of David?
24 But when the Pharisees heard it they said this fellow doth not cast out devils but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.”
25 And Jesus knew their thoughts and said unto them,” Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
26 And if Satan cast out Satan he is divided against himself; how shall then His kingdom stand?
27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges.
28 But if I cast out devils by the spirit of God then the kingdom of God is come unto you.”

It seems to me that in beginning to consider Divine Theurgy, I must believe in miracles. Not that I can do them but that by being unified with the Messiah he can do miracles through me. Once again we are at the key Sophian Gnostic principle which is always being united with the Messiah in Keter, the Cosmic Christ Consciousness.

One time at the TAO Humor Center a number of years ago after a meeting we had had in the evening I went up to my meditation place and before I sat down I noticed a beautiful amethyst ring set in gold. I immediately thought somebody left their ring behind. After my meditation I began to call the people I remembered who sat on that sofa. I asked them to spread the word that there was an amethyst ring left by somebody the night before that was not mine. After trying to find the owner for about a week, I was sitting in meditation and my Guidance asked me is there any other way this ring could be on the sofa? And immediately I remembered that manifestation, precipitation and miracles are part of the teachings and learning in the Divine Spiritual Kingdom. So now that we are so close to the manifestation of the Golden Age and New Heaven and New Earth, it’s time for us to not only believe in miracles but actually to expect them.

I will try to explain what my Guidance told me about something they are calling “BarrelLiving.” Imagine you are given a task of finding a million dollars in one of a million barrels with no enlightenment at all. One would need to simply spend their lifetime opening every barrel looking inside, closing it back down and moving onto the next barrel. One must remember which barrels he opened and hope would be the motivator.

Now imagine you’ve studied a little bit about energy and can now use a pendulum. This time you could touch each barrel and the pendulum would tell you if the million dollars was in that barrel or not without having to open the barrel. This might only take half a lifetime!

Now imagine you have learned more spiritual skills and you’ve developed some inner vision and you’re able to walk along the piles of barrels and intuitively tell where the million dollars is when you walk by. This might only take a few years.

And now imagine that you are working for the Kingdom of God and the million dollars are needed for a project the Messiah has given to you. In this scenario you know and experience miracles and because your motive is Divine, the Messiah works through you. This, my Guidance, is calling “Barrel Living” and is instant manifestation. As you walk up to any of the one million barrels you know that as you touch that barrel, that is the barrel where the one million dollars is manifest. This is faith and manifestation in the moment. There has been no doubt of any kind only your experience of Divine Manifestation of the Kingdom.

Ravens in Native American Culture
(Source: http://www.avesnoir.com/ravens-in-native-american-culture/)

Raven is a Native American god called by many different names by many different tribes.

The symbolic meaning of the Raven in Native American lore describes the raven as a creature of metamorphosis, and symbolizes change/transformation.

In some tribes, the Raven is considered a trickster because of its transforming/changing attributes. This is especially true for the Haida tribe, who claim he discovered the first humans hiding in a clam shell and brought them berries and salmon.

Each tribe had a name for the bird and because of its non-secretive habits, it is one of the most familiar birds to the casual observer. The Sioux tell the story of how a white raven used to warn buffalo of approaching hunting parties. The buffalo would then stampede, and the hunters would be left hungry. Eventually, an angry shaman threw the bird into the fire which turned it black.

Often honored among medicine & holy men of tribes for its shape-shifting qualities, the Raven was called upon in ritual so that visions could be clarified. Native holy men understood that what the physical eye sees, is not necessarily the truth, and he would call upon the Raven for clarity in these matters.

Foremost, the Raven is the Native American bearer of magic, and a harbinger of messages from the cosmos. Messages that are beyond space and time are nestled in the midnight wings of the Raven and come to only those within the tribe who are worthy of the knowledge.

The Raven is also a keeper of secrets, and can assist us in determining answers to our own hidden thoughts. Areas in our lives that we are unwilling to face, or secrets we keep that harm us the Raven can help us expose the truth behind these (often distorted) secrets and wing us back to health and harmony.

Although there is no evidence that Raven was ever worshiped, as such, it is said by some that the Northwest peoples did, they used to leave food out on the beaches for ravens. In this form he is capable of inspiring awe and terror, although always there is that twinkle in the eye and the knowledge that it can be only moments before he says something that will inspire laughter. His creative nature usually shows itself through circumstance rather than intent, through the desire to satisfy his own needs, rather than any altruistic principles, but he seems genuinely fond of human beings, as related in Raven finds the First Men, amongst others.

In his later, perhaps younger guise, Raven, or Yetl/Yelth, is often the butt of his own jokes; these are the stories in which Raven is often undertaking a position taken by Coyote in the desert and plains regions of the South. In this guise, Raven is at his most devious and tricky, is also cruel, with little thought for anyone or anything other than his own stomach. He will go to great efforts to satisfy his appetite, from tricking his cousin Crow out of his entire Winter’s food supply, to tricking Deer into leaping onto some rocks so that he may be devoured, and even tricking an entire tribe into being killed by an avalanche so that he might eat their eyes.

He is the Raven at whom the young Haida men are allowed to laugh, but is also the Raven of whom to be most wary. He can be much crueler than his demiurge culture hero self. This Raven will have you in fits of laughter while he distracts you from the fact he is tricking you into doing something for him you may not actually want to do, and which may cost you dearly. Some of the stories do have Crow as the main character, and the main difference appears to be that Crow stories concern the themes of justice rather than greed, even if justice is not always seen to be done, as in the story of Raven and Crows Potlatch, mentioned above.

The only time at which Ravens position in the Northwest coast culture bears any similarity to that in European culture is in his guise as one of the servants of the medicine lodge tutelary Baxbakualanuchsiwae, the Kwakiutl Cannibal Spirit, whose initiates practice ritual anthropology. This is a comparatively recent trend in the culture, and is not widely mentioned.

In Raven stories told by the Tlingit and other tribes along the Pacific coast and Canada, Raven likes to cause trouble for humankind, but his actions often end up benefiting us.

In the Haida legend How Raven Gave Light to the World, Raven wants to steal the boxes that hold the stars, Moon, and Sun for himself but the people ultimately benefit from his trick when the light is mistakenly released into the sky. The Inuit tell a slightly different version in which the young girl swallows a feather and later gives birth to the raven, whom she later entertains by giving him her fathers’ relic. In breaking the relic, light is let into the world.

In our new column, Raven Lore, we will be sharing with you the wonderful stories passed down through various native cultures in America and beyond. We hope you enjoy them!

*The Pupil article from Wikipedia.

The pupil is a hole located in the center of the iris of the eye that allows light to strike the retina. It appears black because light rays entering the pupil are either absorbed by the tissues inside the eye directly, or absorbed after diffuse reflections within the eye that mostly miss exiting the narrow pupil.

In humans the pupil is round, but other species, such as some cats, have vertical slit pupils, goats have horizontally oriented pupils, and some catfish have annular types. In optical terms, the anatomical pupil is the eye’s aperture and the iris is the aperture stop. The image of the pupil as seen from outside the eye is the entrance pupil, which does not exactly correspond to the location and size of the physical pupil because it is magnified by the cornea. On the inner edge lies a prominent structure, the collarette, marking the junction of the embryonic pupillary membrane covering the embryonic pupil.
